This month's beneficiary is Street Child US. Their project, Breaking the Bonds, helps adolescent girls in remote areas of Nepal achieve functional literacy and numeracy, make sustainable transitions into meaningful employment, and develop confidence and awareness of their rights to reduce prejudice and sexual violence.
This is a potluck supper with a small educational component. Money that ordinarily would be spent on going out to dinner is donated instead.
