Become PART OF A COMMUNITY

WCA members have frequent opportunities to socialize.

Guests are welcome at many events, affording visitors an opportunity to experience what the club is all about.

Contact us with questions.

Member Mondays

The 4th Monday of most months features a potluck supper followed by an activity or speaker and often includes collections of items for our community service partners.

Tuesdays on the Porch or in the Parlor

Strictly social, these informal gatherings feature “a nip or a nosh” brought by members, and sometimes live music.

Family Picnic at Lawson Lake

A member benefit provided by the club every October.

New Member welcome events

Make new friends and learn about the club as you get involved.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the WCA.

Members fulfill our mission through hands-on activities, collections of goods and fundraising activities for local non-profit organizations that serve women and children.

Special events like our annual Good Books for Good Works, held along with the Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza, promote literacy as we raise funds via book sales to support a local school's library.

Collections

Help us collect items such as blankets for immigrant families setting up a home.

Together Women Rise

The WCA proudly hosts the Capital Region chapter of Together Women Rise, which supports programs around the globe to improve the lives of women.

For more information on our community partners and

volunteer activities see our Community Service page.

so many ways to get involved

Attention Members! You can access the Member Hub by logging in. That's where you'll find the member directory, forms, resources and more.

Many members join to make friends. Participating on committees and volunteering for events give you the opportunity to connect and bond with other members.

Think of a committee as a "club within the club" where you can do something you enjoy, learn something new and engage with your peers.

Keep reading for some ideas of which committee you might enjoy. Click to view descriptions of all committees.

Remember– the WCA is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit and you can volunteer right here!

Click to connect with committee chairs.
