Historic Home Open for Tours
The Woman's Club of Albany will offer free tours of its historic home on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The house is located at 725 Madison Ave., Albany, and is one block west of Washington Park, where Albany's Annual Tulip Festival will take place on May 11-12.
Tours of the house, built in 1895 for merchant Joseph Steefel, will highlight its many original features. Information will be available regarding rental of the building for private events and membership in the organization.
The Woman's Club of Albany is one of the oldest not-for-profit organizations in the Capital Region, with a mission to provide a center where women can pool their time, expertise and energy in activities that support the well-being and cultural enrichment of women and children in the region.
