Member Monday -- 6 p.m., Oct. 26 -- Porch Update
We'll have a presentation and Q & A session with Marilyn Kaplan of Preservation Architecture about the repair and renovation of our beautiful historic porch. The best view on Madison Avenue.
Meet at 6 p.m. for Happy Half Hour -- bring your own (everything), please.
Feel free to bring your own snacks, light meal and beverage while you visit and catch up with friends. We'll have tables set up for you to spread out and socially distance.
OR you can come just for the program at 6:45 p.m.
6:45 p.m. -- Club announcements and updates then the presentation from Marilyn about the porch.
If you are unable to attend, and would like to hear the announcements and the presentation on the porch, we will livestream on the WCAs member-only Facebook page.
If you have not joined that page yet and would like to, please contact Charlotte.
REMEMBER to bring your donations for Things of My Very Own.
Our October collection will benefit Things of my Very Own, a Schenectady-based organization that provides crisis intervention services to children affected by extensive abuse and/or neglect or who are at risk of a Child Protective Services intervention. The non-profit's goal is to keep children together with non-abusive family members and out of the foster care system, when possible.
We are collecting the following NEW items:
Small backpacks
Small child-sized wheeled suitcases
Twin- and full-size bedding (sheets, pillow cases, blankets)
Personal hygiene items (toothbrushes, tooth paste, shampoo, soap)
Bring your items to Member Monday on Oct. 26 or any time you visit the WCA in October
