Our guest speaker will be a representative from the Food Pantries of the Capital District who will talk about food insecurity and how it affects women and children locally.
Established in 1979, Food Pantries of the Capital District is a coalition of 70-plus food pantries working cooperatively to do together what no one of them could do alone. Their goal is to eliminate hunger in our neighborhoods.
Member food pantries are located in churches and community centers throughout Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady counties. All who come to them in need will be provided with enough groceries to last 3-5 days.
