Donations Sought for Making Stride Against Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The American Cancer Society'sMaking Strides Against Breast Cancer annual walk -- which raises funds for research, programs and services for breast cancer survivors -- will take place in Washington Park on Sunday, Oct. 18. The WCA has supported this important cause for several years.

While we are not planning an official WCA presence this year, we are continuing to collect donations. If you would like to contribute, make your check payable to "Making Strides," drop it off at the Club or mail it to the WCA during September. The Community Service Committee will send them in together. The amount is up to you.

Let's celebrate our members, relatives and friends who have survived this cancer and those who are no longer with us.
