Membership FAQs
Do I have to live in Albany? No, anyone who supports our mission can join.Can I try it first before I join? Yes! Please do!
Can I bring a friend? Yes! Guests are welcome - you can bring lots of friends.
Can men join? Yes!
How much is membership? $50 for the first year, then $90 annual dues. Student rate $25 annual dues.
Effective March 1, 2024, membership dues paid online will include a convenience fee to cover the cost to the club.
If paying by card: $52 for the first year, then $93 annual dues. Student rate $26 annual dues.

Directory of Members. Forgot the last name of the member you wanted to contact? Wonder who else lives near you for a car pool? Want to see who else shares your hobbies and interests? Search the Directory for your answers. (Members may not use email, phone number or address information of other members for solicitation of business or sales. Please review the description and rules.)

WCA Members private group on Facebook. Join the members-only group to start or continue a conversation among members.

Book Club. Meets every other month on 3rd Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. to discuss books by women authors, chosen by the group.

Family Picnic at Lawson Lake in the fall. Members and their families enjoy hiking, sitting by the outdoor campfire, playing board games by the indoor fireplace, eating potluck salads and desserts as well as picnic foods provided by the club.

Rent the beautiful, historic Club at discounted rates for members.
- New Member welcome events.
- Reduced admission for various events throughout the year.
- Priority registration for WCA sponsored events, trips, tours, theater, etc. in the community.
- Members Only Catered Events such as Cabin Fever Day and Annual Meeting. Members are entitled to vote on official business of the club including elections to the board.
- Member Mondays. Generally the 4th Monday of most months, 6:00 p.m. happy half hour, 6:30 p.m. potluck supper, 7:00 p.m. program with activity or speaker. Often includes collections of items for our community service partners.
- Tuesdays on the porch or in the parlor. Informal gatherings featuring “a nip or a nosh” brought by members, and sometimes live music.

We encourage members to give something back if they are getting something out of their membership. How? By volunteering! Whether it is getting hands on at a community service event, cleaning up after a Member Monday, or joining a committee to learn how you can further support club initiatives. Our organization is only as strong as the women who pool their talent, skills, and expertise at the club. So, jump in!
